Presque Isle Rehabilitation Service would like to announce the Transition to Work Program. (TTWP)
The Transition to Work program is designed to provide the recovering injured worker meaningful employment and the opportunity to remain active, enhance recovery, improve work tolerance and learn new skills by providing temporary work assignments through local public and/or volunteering while the injured worker is unable to perform their regular job functions due to their injury.
The Transition to Work assignments allow the injured worker to return to work in a modified duty position that is within their restrictions and the program allows the injured worker to work in a safe and tolerable environment. (Restrictions may apply)
Injured workers participating in the Transition to Work program typically volunteer 25-40 hours per week and are paid a wage by his/her employer.
We at Presque Isle Rehabilitation believe that being a part of the Transition to Work program can be a rewarding and enjoyable volunteering experience for the injured worker.
Our Transition to Work Program is a way to give back to the community where we reside while assisting injured workers on their personal road to recovery and offering the dignity of employment in an essential role.
We are very pleased to be able to offer this program to our injured workers and to assist them in having a great experience while they are recovery from their injury.
